interference colors

interference colors
Colors produced by the interference of two out-or-phase rays of white light when a birefringence material is observed at a nonextinction position between crossed polars. The retardation at a particular point in a birefringent fiber may be determined by comparing the observed interference color to Michel-Levy chart.
